Assigned to come up with a kids’ paint-your-own plaster product line based on the Beanie Boos® craze, I came up with a product line that I called “Googlies”. The concept was that each kit would come with two themed plaster items that kids could paint and then stick giant googly eyes on when complete. The packaging would encompass the same theme. The first and only concept I was able to explore were these monsters. I designed and illustrated the packaging to look like a monster, and the idea was that the mouth would be a window so customers could see the plaster figurines they would paint. I also illustrated the monsters and we had a factory create plaster figurines based on my illustrations.
